Indy Dog Advocates developed the Bucks For Balls program in 2024 to make spay/neuter services, rabies and parvo vaccines and microchips more affordable for Marion County residents. We partner with IndyHumane to provide veterinary services through our program. If you have an annual household income of $50,000 or less, please complete the application below.
If you have an annual household income of $50,000 to $26,999 the fee for one dog spay/neuter and the needed vaccines and microchip is $75. If your annual household income is $27,000 or less, your fee will be $50, also including needed vaccines and a microchip. You will not need to make any other payments. The usual price for spay/neuter surgery, vaccines and a microchip is $261. After we receive the information we request and your payment, we make your appointment with IndyHumane, based on the days of the week you are available.
The subsidy can also be paid directly to a qualified individual who presents proof of a completed surgery at FACE Low Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic or IndyHumane Spay and Neuter Clinic within 1 month of the date of the surgery.
If you are a central Indiana rescue organization, Bucks for Balls can also help you! We provide $100 subsidies to local rescues to help pay for spay/neuter surgeries for dogs pulled from IACS. Our program also helps fix stray dogs weighing 50 pounds or more who were found in Marion County. Please use the application link below. Surgery must occur within 2 weeks of the application date. Proof of the surgery must be presented at the time of application via email to president@indydogs.org.

Donations to the Bucks for Balls program helps decrease the number of dogs creating the unwanted litters which currently crowd our city shelter and area rescues.
“Thank you for all you do! You saved my pup! He’s so much better now that we got him fixed! He doesn’t want to run a way and I can even walk him and he gets better every time ❤️💗🥰” — Amanda E.
