One of our goals is to help pet owners find the resources they need so they can keep their pets.  Our city shelter and rescues are overflowing with strays and owner surrenders. As a result, healthy adoptable dogs are being euthanized. There is help available to avoid this situation.

Indy Dog Advocates

  • Help raise awareness of canine overpopulation crisis and assist individuals in finding appropriate available resources
  • Bucks for Balls program:
  • Low income dog owners
  • Marion County residents
  • Dogs only, but cats in the same household are also eligible
  • Subsidy program that greatly reduces the cost of spay/neuter and vaccines
  • Subsidies are also provided to local rescues that pull dogs from IACS or 50 lb+ stray dogs found in Marion County in their rescue
